Club Objectives

The objectives of the Sanford Garden Club, Inc.: 

  • To stimulate a knowledge and love of gardening, 
  • To aid in the protection of native plants and birds, 
  • And to encourage civic planting. 

What do Sanford Garden
Clubbers do?

  • Learn about plants and landscaping
  • Study the effects of our changing environment
  • Learn to make flower arrangements 
  • Send children to Camp Wekiva 
  • Send Teenagers to SEEk (Save the earth's environment through knowledge)
  • Sponsor two plant sales a year – The Seminole Bromeliad and Tropical Plant Society’s Spring and Fall Plant Sales
  • Buy Wildflower license plates which support wild flower plantings in the highway medians
  • Volunteer at the Central Florida Zoo identifying plants in the garden
  • There is something for everyone - ask us about topics that interest you and consider becoming a Sanford Garden Club Member!

General Meetings
 

Monthly meetings include educational and entertaining guest speakers discussing current topics. Each circle of the Sanford Garden Club meets once a month at our clubhouse, 200 Fairmont Drive, Sanford, Florida 32773.
 
The Jacaranda Circle meets at the clubhouse on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 PM, September through May. Their main focus is habitat gardening and general gardening.

The Wildflower Circle meets at the clubhouse on the second Thursday of each month at 10:00 AM, September through May. Their main focus is flower arranging and general gardening.

The Seminole Bromeliad and
Tropical Plant Society meet at the clubhouse on the third Sunday of each month at 2:00 PM all year long. Their main focus is bromeliads and tropical plants.


General business meetings for the Sanford Garden Club are held at the clubhouse three times a year in October, February, and May, usually on the second Thursday of the month at 12:00 PM.
